Hey guys what’s up? It’s been a little over a week since I posted. I have moved back to Florida and I’m all settled and ready to rock!
Tonight’s featured artist is Gilz out of Los Angeles, CA. He was born in the Ukraine but moved to the US when he was about four years old. He grew up in LA and lived a hard life – drugs and police and strife. But now, he has gotten his life together and started making music. After being over run by the street life, his music is so relatable (to me anyway). He lived through the temptations and he’s living the quiet life.
Gilz started writing in 2015 and started seriously making his music and coming up in about 2017.
“In the grand scheme of things, we barely a speck”
Gilz – Puppets on a string
Gilz music is about life. The prisons, the murder on the streets, the life on the street PERIOD. His lyrics are so on point and his delivery is distinct and in your face.
In Divide and Conquer, Gilz spits hard and fast. The instrumental is more hardcore and the lyrics thoughtful and powerful. You can feel the come up – his successful return to himself and his breakthrough.
Gilz – Bullet proof like wearing teflon
This guy is definitely someone that you want to check out. Who doesn’t love a good story? A man that conquered his demons and came out better on the other side?
