What’s up guys? This week’s featured artist is Rubiix – a lovely and talented MC out of the UK. Rubiix has been featured on the blog and the podcast before, but this week I had a chance to sit down and talk to her about her music style and the crazy world of Covid.
Rubiix – The music
Rubiix has been super busy doing collabs, freestyles and competitions. The latest competition was hosted by Top Spitter. So, she doesn’t have any projects in the works at the moment on her own. However, if you check out her Instagram, she has some pretty great stuff up on there.
She has great style and that UK flair to her music. Her freestyles are on point and she actually made it pretty high up in the Top Spitter’s challenge.
She also has a wide range musically. She got her influence at an early age from American rappers like Biggie and Pac, and you can see some of that in her music. But, some of her music is a bit dancey, some a bit reggae and some is what she calls “grime rap”.
