Formerly known as SC, tonight’s featured female artist Rubiix is from the UK. She is fierce! I have had my eye on her Instagram for a couple of weeks and she finally responded to an ad that I placed for ladies night. And I am thrilled!
At 16, she released her first mix tape “1 woman army”. She says that after listening to Biggie’s “Juicy”, she wrote her first sixteen bar verse and rap has been her way of expressing herself ever since. And lucky us, because she is frigging awesome!
Rubiix – The music
She has the UK sound but it’s harder than most of the female UK rappers that I’ve heard and she says that’s because she is heavily influenced by Pac, Eminem and Biggie.

She’s looking to collab with artists from overseas. She wants to bring a new flavor to her music and thinks that she should mix it up. I think it’s an awesome idea. She would sound great on an American modern rap track with her incredible singing voice and effortless delivery.
Her favorite poet is Rumi and her favorite singer is Mariah Carey. She says Mariah’s range is crazy and everything she sings hits her “emotionally”.
She is a snap back/ hat fiend and wants to rep a snap back brand. I think with a face like that, she should be repping hats for sure! She looks amazing in a hat.
Rubiix just released a few singles, but her EP is due to come out the end of Summer 2020. She also has plans to shoot some music videos and send them to SBTV and Linkup and see what happens from there.
