I originally interviewed Alfred Banks in June of 2021. I had just learned of his album “The Beautiful”. The album was a tribute to his late brother, who sadly succumbed to his battle with Schizophrenia. I am a champion of exposing the mental health stigma in this country and bringing the issue into the light in the most constructive way possible. Alfred Banks is also about spreading education to fight the World’s distorted view of those with mental health diseases.
What’s up with Alfred Banks now?
I checked in with Alfred this morning and found out that he has some pretty cool stuff going on! He was recently on Nickelodeon and I mean who never wanted to be in Nick?! It’s awesome.
The Music
Alfred recently released a track called “G Wagon” and has a new single “Blessing” dropping on March 30th.
There are so many reasons that Alfred Banks is such a popular Indie Rapper. He just does it all right and makes it look so easy! This track is so dope! I heard it for the first time today and I’ve listened to it like twenty times.
The instrumental is somewhat reminiscent of a music box tune. Which is perfectly juxtaposed by Alfred’s bars. The vibe of this track is hard. I would say that the track is radio ready, but these days that might be considered an insult. So, I’ll say that is is polished and professional. Just like Alfred.

Alfred is now on tour.
If you’re in the area of one of these shows, you should definitely go. It’s only a matter of time before Alfred Banks really blows up. Then you can say you saw him when he was coming up.
