Hey guys what’s up? Tonight’s featured artist is R.O. Hutch out of Raleigh, NC. He has a serious following in NC and it’s definitely about time that he gets noticed by the rest of the Country!
R.O. Hutch – The man
Hutch started out by writing poetry. Then, he began rapping and he has since taught himself how to play the piano. His father was a Pianist and he left him his keyboard when he passed. When Hutch was about twelve, he started playing the keyboard and he was able to teach himself how to play it by ear.
“My goal with my music is to ultimately present options. By that, I mean I hope to aid in a shift in the mainstream perspective for guys who have similar stories regarding how they were raised, and hurdles they may have overcome to this point.”
He would like to get behind Habitat for Humanity. “Habitat for Humanity partners with people in your community, and all over the world, to help them build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage.”
Hutch has family members that have participated in this program and he has seen first hand what they can do for families in need. He wants to help bring attention to the program.
Hutch – The Music
This track is SO DOPE! The instrumental is FIRE and the beat is a show stopper. The track features Egypt and she is just PERFECTION!!
Hutch’s lyrics are relevant and poignant. They are relatable and you can tell that he has been writing for a long time. Having started off writing poetry, his lyrics are very harmonious with his instrumental choices.
This is by far my favorite track by Hutch. It’s short, but it is SO fucking good! It’s heart pumping and the lyrics? Psht… so good! They’re relatable, even for me. No bullshit… none of the usual Hip hop filler. Just like listen I’m bad… I’m not your friend and I’m not fucking worried about you being my friend. Period.
The Future
As I said, Hutch already has a great following in NC and rightfully so… now, it’s time for the rest of you to take notice! Because this dude is note worthy!
