The Letter Noon are a very interesting hip hop duo. Their music is fantastic! The beats are all produced by Shirman and Emma Effers writes all the songs and performs them.
They met in Milan and they spent every Sunday working on music until Emma moved back to the States. Since he has been in the States, they have had to work remotely, but they seem to have made the transition brilliantly and without missing a beat (no pun intended).
The Letter Noon – When the Shit gets Real -The Music
“Tap In” is by far my favorite song by The Letter Noon. I LOVE the trippy, laid back instrumental. The slow, easy drums bring you along on a journey with the crazy, cool bass. It’s just an intense, slow flow that is just KILLER.
Then, there are Emma’s lyrics. You can tell that Emma comes to the table fucking PREPARED for every song. These songs are not written in a quick moment about bitches, money and hoes. These songs are thoughtful and amazing.
“Pushing Daisies” is a song that any true Hip hop head should be able to get right into. Tell me what you want….. tell me what you need…. oops sorry I got taken away by Emma’s crazy poetic waxing. How could you love Hip hop and not love this track? These boys are different, there’s no mistaking it. But, they’re different in such an appealing way.
The part that’s missing
Life apart makes it difficult for Emma and Shirman to make their music in the intimate way that they had learned to make it, but they are making this work.
Shirman makes the music and sends it to Emma Effers and he writes the songs over the music and that’s how the magic happens.
You need to check out this INCREDIBLE DUO.
