Catch up with Das EFX

Das EFX is the rap duo Skoob and Dray. They began performing together in 1988. Their debut album, “Dead Serious” came out in 1992 and their track “The real Hip hop” (1995) is one of my ALL TIME favorite tracks.

The Music

“They want EFX” is arguably one of the most recognized Hip hop tracks. The beat is funky and dun dun d d dun dun… dundun. The lyrics are a bit goofy. The delivery is quick and in true Das EFX style, the hook is catchy as Hell.
Sampling GrandMaster Flash’s “The Message”, “Check Yo Self” is another Hip hop track that we all know and love. They slow it way down on this track but their style is still obvious.

This Jusoul remix is dope af.
